It was an easy process from the meet up near the palace to the tour itself. I also appreciated that the tour gave quite a lot of time for just seeing things on my own. It was the perfect mix of being led and venturing out alone. I would definitely book this tour again and recommend it to friends and family.

The ticket provided by the app must be redeemed at another location—which isn't easy to find—and that's where you'll meet up with a guide. Make sure you receive both the QR code for admission and the QR code for the audio guide. It’s a good idea to visit the site and also take your time there; otherwise, you’ll miss a lot of what there is to see.

Our arrival at and entry to Topkapi Palace went according to plan. There was a meeting point about 200 m from the entrance. There, we were able to buy tickets to the harem. Entry to the palace went smoothly. We had received the audio guide the day before.

Worth the extra to get ahead of the queues and to get around independently. However, we found the audio guide hard to follow, with a very small map on the app of where to change the audio . We also didn't go round in the same sequence. The subject material was good and informative but needs better coordination.

Note that you will be able to enter the Topkapi Palace only with a representative. Meet your host at the meeting point, who will then take you inside the palace.

Be sure to arrive at the meeting point 15 mins before your scheduled entry time.
