Can I just say that the Greek cuisine is delicious- have absolutely nothing against it. If I have a complain it'd be that the street food is a little bland. For someone who likes a lot of spice I think the greek tapas was a little meh. Everything else was good, I liked the food market tour - it was a great way to mingle iwth the local culture and finnd out what a day at the market looks like. Didn't get ripped off or anything (thank you Pascal).

Many things about this tour to say: 1. The food market tour is an exciting touch. Even with the pandemic and its restrictions it was pretty crowded (not a bad kind of crowded) and everyone was safe. 2. LOVED our tour guide, Christina. Such a professional with such a flair for language and gave us so much additional information about where to go, where to eat, etc. 3. Tried mezes (greek tapas) for the first time- quite tasty. A little too healthy for my taste (hehe) but would definitely try it again (only in Greece though). 4. Was skeptical about taking a walking tour but it was surprisingly easy. Flat streets and a decent walk. 5. Do not forget to pick up a few things along the way for yourself. You have to pay for it yourself but ultimately worth it. I picked up a few spices and a bottle of olive oil.

  • A culinary experience that lets you feel the beating heart of the city while sampling delicious street food is here for you! Walk through food stalls, coffee shops, open-air markets, and well-hidden tavernas with an expert guide by your side. Let your senses lead the way as you walk through this local good market, a year-round food oasis. Mingle with the locals and partake in the daily shopping routine as you find out the ingredients that make up most of the Greek food. A heaven for foodies and a market like no other!

Taste snacks like Kalamata olives and world-class pistachios from Aegina island as you pass along local sellers. You'll then enjoy an authentic Greek lunch in a local taverna with Greek tapas and house wine. The last stop on this trip is to a family-owned distillery founded in 1897! Taste some of the best spirits/liqueurs of Greece- chief among them, the Mastiha liqueur and the world-famous Ouzo.
