Everything was well organized, clear expectations and purchasing the tickets was so easy! There wasn't as much people at 7:30 when we went, so it also made the experience so much better!! Also, the 86th floor elevator supervisor / manager was so well spoken in Spanish and knew so much about Costa Rica and Venezuela which made our WHOLE night that much more amazing!

For me, the Empire State Building is one of the most iconic buildings and places in New York. I visited it 30 years ago and always return whenever I'm in New York. I find the entertainment area on the ground floor and information about the ESB, including the recreated "King Kong scene," simply fantastic. The ESB is a must.

This was an awesome experience! I would consider myself a world traveler as I've been to viewing decks and buildings in 5 continents now and this has been the best bang for your buck. Most of them you just pay and go to the top but not this one! We elected to only go up to the 86th floor but even that was a great experience. The history of the building, the different movies that include the building and then being able to get our photo at the end was top notch. Highly recommend to other travelers!

We were surprised by the lack of line to the top of the ESB! We got right up and right out. However... the view was very foggy and we could see nothing. The day was very dreary and we were quite literally in the fog. No view whatsoever. The people were friendly, but we did not get an audio guide.

Any kind of weapon, including firearms, sharp objects, or explosives, is strictly forbidden.

Glass containers, bottles, and loose items like marbles cannot be brought inside.

Oversized bags, rolling luggage, and suitcases are not permitted.

Outside food is prohibited, and eating is not allowed inside observatory spaces or on the outdoor deck.

Professional camera equipment, tripods, and bulky gear are not allowed.

Only trained service animals may enter; pets are not permitted.

Edge NYC

Large bags, luggage, weapons, and costume props are not allowed; standard backpacks and handbags must pass through security screening.

Tripods, selfie sticks, balloons, and similar items cannot be brought in.

Bikes, scooters, and skateboards are prohibited.

No outside food or drinks are allowed, except sealed water bottles; glass containers are not permitted.

Only service animals are allowed; personal pets must stay behind.

Strollers need to be folded before boarding elevators or escalators.
