Absolutely loved the zoo. It was nice and quiet when we visited, which made it easy to get to see the animals without having to fight through crowds. The volunteers which we encountered throughout our visit were lovely, and it was great having someone to give us information about the animals. I absolutely adored the giraffes and the chimps. I could have spent all day between the two. The amenities were fantastic, easy to find and lovely and clean. The gift shop was brilliant. I'm Glad I went without children, or it would have cost me a fortune lol. I would absolutely visit the zoo again in the future. In fact one of your lovely volunteers told us that she has a membership that grants access to several other zoos too. Something which we are considering for the coming year.

I loved my visit to Edinburgh Zoo. The day was full of memorable highlights, especially seeing the animals in such spacious and thoughtfully designed habitats. The penguins were a real standout for me – watching them during feeding time was both fun and heart-warming, and their playful behaviour made the experience unforgettable. I also appreciated how calm and scenic the zoo felt as I walked around. The setting, combined with the clear efforts made for animal care, made the visit feel genuinely meaningful. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and their passion for the animals and conservation added a special touch to the whole experience. Overall, the visit was enjoyable, educational, and truly memorable.
