Coala was my girlfriend favourite highlight, along with geraffe, sadly did not see the wild cat as it was sleeping , my personal favourite was a lioness tiger and chimpanzees, as they invoked most emotions in me personally. It was also amazing to see live in person a visualy perplexing anteater 🤓Aneliya

Edinburgh Zoo is one of the best attractions in Scotland, offering a perfect mix of wildlife, education, and stunning scenery. Spread across 82 acres on Corstorphine Hill, the zoo provides beautifully designed enclosures that give animals plenty of space and a natural environment. The highlight for many visitors is the famous Penguins Rock, where you can watch the penguins swimming and waddling around—an absolute delight for both kids and adults. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals, including chimpanzees, big cats, and some rare species like sloths and armadillos. It’s also known for its strong commitment to conservation and animal welfare, which adds more meaning to every visit. Interactive talks and feeding sessions make it an educational experience as well as an entertaining one. The grounds are hilly, so wearing comfortable shoes is a must, but the views over Edinburgh from the higher paths are breathtaking. Food and drinks are available at the on-site cafés, though some visitors prefer bringing their own picnic to enjoy in the lovely outdoor spaces. Overall: Edinburgh Zoo is a must-visit for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a fun day out in Edinburgh. The combination of unique animals, friendly staff, and a focus on conservation makes it stand out as one of the best zoos in the UK.Rachael

Headed to the zoo with my boys and we had a great day out. Staff at the zoo were all really knowledgeable including at the desk when we arrived and the zoo itself is excellent. I bought my tickets through headeout and it was a seamless and straightforward process and their website is very user friendlySheila

Took our five year old granddaughter for a visit - I had been when I was a child so it was lovely to be back. We loved it, but found the signposting not so good and couldn't find some of the animals! The facilities are very good with plenty shade (it was a hot day), toilets, cafes and the animal enclosures are very user friendly. Spent some time talking to one of the keepers at the penguins and she was really informative. All in all it was a good experience and the zoo is obviously very well taken care of in all respects.
