FamilyVerified bookingJun 20265/5Oct 20254/5Visited Terezin with my partner on a slightly drizzly day, which honestly felt fitting for the place. The guide was SUPER passionate (maybe even a bit intense at times) and shared a lot of details you don't get from history books. We started at the small fortress—felt like stepping into a history lesson that punches you in the gut. Only thing is, the museum closed a bit early that day so we had to rush the last bit. Def recommend bringing snacks cause the cafeteria was closed (not sure if that's always the case). Heavy, but memorable.LLaura T
CoupleVerified bookingOct 20255/5Very touching experience, Bianca our guide took us into another dimension. Convenient connections and punctuality. Highly recommendedSep 20255/5Went solo, kinda on a whim. Not gonna lie, it was heavier than I expected but so worth it. The tunnels are wild, and our guide, Ivana, made the stories come alive (her English is really good btw). It got crowded in the main yard but I guess that's normal. Take tissues. Also, can't take pics in some areas.Aug 20253/5Took my parents (who are both history buffs) and we all agreed the guide knew her stuff. But it was hard to hear her sometimes cause of the group size and echo in the fortress. Loved the old photos in the museum, tho we got only about 15 mins there. Could've stayed longer tbh.
What to bring
-
Bring a valid ID card with you, as it will be required for verification before the tour begins.
-
Choose supportive, comfortable footwear, since the Small Fortress features uneven terrain and gravel surfaces that require steady footing.
-
Carry a compact umbrella or lightweight raincoat, as weather conditions can change quickly and much of the visit takes place in unsheltered areas.
What’s not allowed
-
Avoid using flash photography inside designated memorial spaces, as it can damage delicate exhibits and disrupt the commemorative atmosphere.
-
Travel with only a small personal bag, because large luggage cannot be taken on the tour vehicle and is impractical to carry around the site.
Accessibility
- This tour is not suitable for wheelchair users, as the fortress includes steep stairways, tight passageways, and rough, unpaved courtyards that present mobility challenges.
Additional information
-
Meet your guide at the main entrance of the Rudolfinum on Jan Palach Square, where they will be easy to spot holding a blue and white umbrella.
-
The tour does not run on December 23, 24, 25, 26, 31, or January 1, so keep these blackout dates in mind when planning.
-
Be aware that parts of the experience may be emotionally intense due to the historical significance of the site.
-
- Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.
- Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
- Please check your final voucher for the starting point details & specific instructions.
