This was my first time in Turkey, and I wanted an authentic experience, a real taste of the culture, not just a checklist of sights. Zeynep delivered exactly that. Her passion for the food and her culture came through in everything she did, and from the very start she made us feel like friends, not tourists on a tour. The food was delicious and abundant, I came with a big appetite and still couldn’t finish it all! I booked this experience mainly to witness the dervish ritual; since I was traveling alone, I had some reservations about the dinner that would follow. Zey, our guide, turned out to be not only knowledgeable, thoughtful, and attentive, but also able to bring the group together right away. She was smiling the whole time.
