We visited Alcazar in Sevilla with Isabel as our guide. To say Isabel was the best guide we've ever had is an understatement. Isabel was very informative and knowledgeable and explained everything simply. She tied the different centuries and eras together very well and gave the history of Alcazar like a TV soap. We'd highly recommend Isabel and will be back.

The architecture in the Alcazar was beautiful. Whilst the guide was good, unfortunately her microphone was too far from her mouth and picked up other noises too easily and also broke up a few times

Our guide, Manuel. He was friendly and very knowledgeable, and shared some fascinating historical insights. I definitely recommend the skip-the-line tour of the Alcaraz.

The tour would be really good for anyone who wants a really in depth guide of the alcazar, if we were to go again we would walk around ourselves. The guide was SO knowledgeable and informative but too much so for a standard tour, the overload of information was far too much. We also had issues with regard to misleading information, we were told the tour was 1 hour, due to a family member with limited mobility who fatigues if standing / walking too long, so we chose this tour so we could see everything and be 'guided' in the right directions as to not 'waste time'. I had some communication with the team beforehand who told me this wouldn't be an issue, and if anything our family member may struggle to keep pace with the tour, we quickly realised this wouldn't be an issue. We arrived 15 minutes before our tour time( as stated on the page) at 12.15, the tour began at 12.30 with a 20 minute discussion outside the alcazar about the walls, we were handed paper tickets which stated 13.00 entry time (so already 30 minutes into the tour and we were still outside ) we entered the alcazar at 13.00 and by 13.15 we were still at the first information point, we went on to see 3 more points of interest before having to leave at 13.40 as my family member was very unsteady on his feet and due to no areas to sit on the tour 3 of us had to leave to support him to find a bench, 3 members completed the tour and met up with us at 14.10, they were offered 20 minutes of free time in the gardens but declined as they were also struggling with the overload of knowledge, information and amount of time standing. Had they have been around the gardens it would've meant their tour lasted 2 hours, which is amazing value for money if you wanted a really in depth tour, for example we learnt about one painting for 10 minutes, but for a base knowledge tour it was far too much. Overall the tour would be brilliant for anyone who wanted to know the exact year everything was made and the years it was repainted etc, what everything is made of from the bricks to the tiles, what it looked like through different years etc etc, but for anyone who would like to just be shown around and told what things are, it's FAR too in depth, and if you use a walking stick and fatigue if standing for too long this tour is not for you, even myself and my partner as 'able bodied, healthy, young people' found the tour exhausting due to standing for so long.
