why you shouldn’t miss this
Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is an amazing city that has so much to offer. It is a lovely place that has always been the centre of art, education, research and commerce. It was occupied by the Romans soon after its construction in 1st century AD. It comes as no surprise that Budapest has been strongly influenced by Italian styles developed in the Renaissance.
You will get to see several beautiful bridges as you sail on the Danube, one of the major ones being the Chain Bridge. The Chain Bridge is a massive structure that has often been considered an engineering marvel by acclaimed architects and engineers. It is adorned with decorations that are made of cast iron. It is a symbol of advancement and bonding between the East and the West.
You will begin the cruise at Dock 11, where you will board a recently renovated boat. The cruise will take you on a route that lets you see the hidden sights of riverbanks that are not visible from anywhere else. There are numerous bridges that were constructed across the Danube. They were built in several rounds, so you will see a lot of unique and mesmerising architecture. Some of the large bridges you will see are the Chain Bridge and the Margaret Bridge. The sightseeing cruise will give you a chance to check out Margaret Island, where you can often see the locals going for a run on the island. As you sail further, you will reach an area of Budapest that can’t be visited on foot. You are likely to feel a great wave of joy as you cross the amazing Danube Promenade – Vigadó Square. This is amongst the finest cruises in Europe!
