St. Peter's is absolutely massive and incredibly ornate, a stunning display of gold and marble architecture. It was busy, but not overwhelmingly so, allowing us to move around and take everything in. Michelangelo's Pietà is a true masterpiece, protected behind glass but still breathtaking. It's a place of immense scale and historical significance that is definitely worth the visit.

Very well organized, with immediate access to St. Peter's Basilica. The audio guide worked very well and was informative—not too much, not too little information. St. Peter's Basilica is overwhelming. However, it's not a peaceful place during the holiday season ;-) It was still worth it.

You should be more specific when buying tickets! You said mine included the dome and the basilica, but when I got there, it was just the basilica. That's all! Everything was really nice, and the staff who helped me were great.

Security check points are so busy they forget about you and your questions. Other than that, I skipped the line to enter, which I had to figure out myself cause no one will help you unless you speak up. Services at the door is squeaky smooth. No one checked my ticket. I could have went inside for free. Wish there was more guidance at least at the gates to show you where to go.

The problem was that we had a 1:00 p.m. admission time, but we weren't allowed in because security hadn't given permission. We waited until 2:00 p.m. To avoid being out in the sun, we went into a café. Then we had to get in line with the 2:00 p.m. group and didn’t get in until after 2:00 p.m. Meanwhile, people who hadn’t made a reservation or paid were allowed in.

The tour with the audio guide was a complete success for us! I was there with three kids, and the explanations on the audio guide were just the right length to keep the kids’ attention. Plus, it was really worth it not to have to wait in line in the sun. We had no trouble finding the entrance. The communication leading up to the visit was also very organized and detailed.

At St. Peter’s Basilica, there are two entrance lines, a free entry line and a reserved entry line. Only visitors with reserved tickets can use the reserved queue. Brief waits may still occur during peak hours due to security procedures. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Entry is only permitted through the reserved entrance line.

Both basilicas enforce a strict dress code; failure to comply may result in denied entry.
