Last week

Smooth entry, lovely reception staff. The changing cabins are ample, with a secure locking system. Once changed it wasn't clearly marked where to go for the pools, but once found they were lovely. I liked the rapids area in the thermal pool, as well as the jet beds. The two other outer pools were quite cold, but we were there on a sunny warm day for October, so not too bad at all. Maybe smaller than the other thermal baths, but a great experience and good value for money.

We booked a tour of the Parliament and a Danube river cruise. I highly recommend both tours. The Parliament is breathtaking. The interiors are beautifully preserved. The multimedia guide was very user-friendly, with lots of interesting facts not only about the stunning building itself, but also about the history of Hungary. The Danube cruise is at its most beautiful in the evening, when you can admire the gorgeously illuminated city, including its landmarks and of course the Parliament building. Highly recommend!

We booked an evening Danube boat cruise, and it was definitely worth it. The boat ride lasted 50 minutes, and you get to see all the sights brightly lit up. If you arrive a bit early, you can snag a spot out on the deck. We also treated ourselves to a non-alcoholic gin and tonic that really hit the spot. The staff was equally competent and very friendly. All in all, a great tour.

A pleasant cruise, sitting downstairs if you're cold or up on the top deck, kept lively the entire time by the guide providing commentary throughout the trip. It's in English, mind you, but there are QR codes so you can listen on your phone in your own language. It is well worth not missing this night ride when everything is completely illuminated.

If you do only one sightseeing activity during your stay in Budapest, make it the Purpleliner Danube River Cruise—hands down, this was the best money I spent in the entire city. The breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline from the water are unmatched, and the central, hassle-free departure spot made boarding an absolute breeze. The boat was extremely comfortable throughout the entire trip, and to top it all off, our tour guide was a complete 10/10—engaging, informative, and making the experience unforgettable from start to finish.

Only downside is open desk didn't had any overhang, right before our cruise started we got caught in the rain and couldn't enjoy open desk properly, unfortunately. I would definitely go back to this spa again. The price was amazing for what you get. It never felt too busy that we couldn't get into any of the pools/steam room/sauna when we wanted to. We were even blessed with amazing weather. So we were able to chill outside on a sunbed for a while too.

I really liked both the spa and the night cruise. The spa had 2 salt inhalation rooms that were great for the bronchi. The only pity was that the boat didn't have an open upper deck, just a small area at the stern where we could stand.
