Visiting the Vatican Museums was honestly one of those experiences that’s hard to fully put into words. I expected it to be impressive, but I didn’t realize just how massive and intense it would feel until I was actually there. It’s not just a museum but it feels like you’re walking through layers of history, one room after another. What I liked most was how every section had a different vibe. Some rooms felt so grand and detailed that you almost didn’t know where to look, while others felt calmer and gave you space to slow down a bit. I caught myself pausing more than I usually would in a museum, just to take in the small details of the ceilings, the colors, the expressions in the artwork. The Sistine Chapel was definitely the highlight. Even though it was crowded and a bit chaotic, there was still this quiet sense of awe in the room. Looking up at the ceiling in real life just hits differently and it’s way more powerful than any photo you’ve seen before. That said, it can get pretty overwhelming. There’s a lot of walking, a lot of people, and honestly, a lot to take in. After a while, everything starts to blur together if you’re not careful. If I could do it again, I’d probably focus on a few sections instead of trying to see everything. Overall, I’m really glad I went. It’s one of those places that lives up to the hype, even if it’s a bit exhausting. Definitely something I’ll remember for a long time.

Access to the meeting point was blocked, but the office responded immediately and apologized politely, even though they weren't to blame for the situation. A new meeting point was arranged right away, everything went perfectly, and the staff who escorted us to the entrance were super friendly despite the stress. Thanks for the great experience!

The skip-the-line ticket was really convenient. The hostess who was waiting for us was great. It really saved us time. The only minor issue is that when explaining the meeting point, it would be helpful to mention that it’s right behind the Vatican. Other than that, everything was fine.

My visit to the Vatican and the Colosseum was okay overall, but not quite as impressive as I had imagined. Both sites are, of course, historically and culturally very significant, and it is certainly special to see them in person. However, the wait times were quite long at times, which made the experience a bit exhausting. The organization also seemed a bit confusing at times, so it was sometimes difficult to find my way around. Still, there were positive moments—the architecture and the history behind it are truly fascinating. Overall, I’d say it was a solid experience: not perfect, but not bad either.

Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill

The Colosseum is one of Italy’s most popular destinations, attracting over 5 million visitors every year. Believed to have been constructed as a gift from the ancient emperors to the Roman people, this grand outdoor amphitheater once served as the epicenter for entertainment, hosting various public spectacles and games. A stage for gladiator fights, often including animals, the Colosseum has quite a bloody past. Step back in time, marvel at the impressive architecture, and walk the floor of the greatest arena known to mankind.

Your Colosseum ticket also includes entry to the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Head to the Roman Forum and travel back in time as you walk along the same paths as the ancient Romans did. You’ll get a chance to witness popular sites including the Temple of Antoninus Pius, the Temple of Castor and Pollux, the Temple of Saturn, the Arch of Septimius Severus, and much more. Palatine Hill offers one of the best views of the city. Once considered the most desirable neighborhood in Rome, Palatine Hill lives on an extensive archaeological site and was the chosen spot for Emperors to build their homes.
