Everything went smoothly with the trains and the hop on hop off. We particularly enjoyed the riverboat trip on the Thames. The crew member that gave the highlights along the tour was informative and entertaining. A special highlight on the hop on hop off was getting to see the horses as part of VE Day celebrations.

The trip into London was fast, trains were clean and comfortable, and the entire experience was terrific. Our family of 5 had an 8 hour layover in London, on our way to Florence, and the efficient manner of the Express allowed us time to see Abbey Road studios, recreate the iconic image for our own photo of myself and our 3 boys crossing Abbey Road, had lunch (and a Guinness or two), came across a festival along the canals, and visited The British Museum. We were back at Heathrow in plenty of time for our evening flight to Florence. It was perfect!

Thames River tour was awesome! Excellent tour hosts who provide a wonderful description of what you are seeing. Big Bus tour was good but there are many many more buses from other tour companies that pick up passengers while we waited for the Big Bus. We got off at one stop and had to wait one hour for a Big Bus tour bus to come back to pick us up. This prevented us from getting off at stops in the city as we were concerned that we would not be picked up and would not see the remainder of the blue or red route. We thought we had the evening tour included but our tickets printed "does not include night tour".
