Preserved in this way, it stands as a testament to all humanity that it isn't always necessary to tear everything down to rebuild. The tour can be done with a guide. We chose to visit without one, armed only with our Routard travel guide, which is remarkably thorough. On top of that, my wife is a history teacher. This allowed us to wander wherever we pleased and soak up the site's unique atmosphere, before finishing at the Orange Tree Courtyard outside.

Booking in advance to visit the Mosque-Cathedral was super easy on the Headout website. 1 hour later, the tickets were already downloaded to my smartphone. Scanning the QR code at the entrance of the Mosque-Cathedral was a breeze. You absolutely must visit this place! It's the most beautiful building I've ever seen 🤩 I highly recommend it.
