CoupleVerified bookingJul 20265/5Easy entry and a very smooth experience overall. We especially appreciated being able to download the audio guide before entering the palace grounds, which made everything seamless even without arranging it in advance. The guide itself was interesting and easy to follow. One suggestion would be to include more background on the history and significance of the Royal Palace as a whole, rather than focusing mostly on each individual room. We also noticed that the Throne Room was closed to visitors during our visit, but the audio guide did not mention this, which was a bit confusing. Overall, though, it was an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.MMassimo M
FamilyVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5We visited the Royal Palace on Monday, and despite the large number of visitors, we got in quickly—even with the thorough security checks. The audio guide—which I highly recommend—was extremely helpful, providing concise explanations of the many beautiful rooms we visited. The Royal Palace was a wonderful discovery; it’s definitely worth a visit for anyone traveling to Madrid.CChristian G

FamilyVerified bookingLast week5/5The Royal Palace of Madrid is truly extraordinary. The part open to the public is a sight to behold. In addition to the Palace, you can also visit the Royal Armory, where you can see a collection of countless suits of armor belonging to the various kings who have lived there. The admission fee was well worth it. After the tour, there’s also a section of the gardens you can explore, which I highly recommend. As for the Almudena Cathedral, which is right across the street, I only saw it from the outside—I just don’t understand why you’d pay €8 to enter a Christian church. But some people do pay.WWendy D
SoloVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5Entry was easy, security check was fast, the palace was incredible! Very good value for money, there was no rush to go through, you could take as long as you like in each of the rooms, staff were very friendly and helpful despite them not speaking much English. It was amazing.
See Madrid your way, then step straight into royal history. This combo pairs the freedom of a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus with skip-the-line entry to the magnificent Royal Palace of Madrid.
