I thought we were buying skip the line tickets to the duomo and did not realize what we were actually purchasing. We did climb the tower but didn't get to visit the other experiences.

Very simple process! Unfortunately we didn't get into the cathedral (it was Sunday) but Giotto's bell tower was magnificent! Make sure to arrive at the tower 15 min before your scheduled time as it's very busy. Didn't need to redeem physical tickets anywhere else, just scanned the pdf at the entrance and up we went. Some people had small water bottles they carried (no bags) which I would recommend, it's a tough climb in the heat. Afterwards we went to the museum which was also excellent.
