Nothing about Headout is special for this booking, this is NOT a booking for the colosseum, only for the Roma Pass. I do recommend getting the Roma Pass as it gives access to free public transport and loads of sights including the Colosseum, but you have to be aware that you still need to book a ticket for some of these sites such as the Colosseum which is then free if you have the Roma Pass, but don't expect to just waltz up and enter with the Roma pass, you should book the tickets for these sights 10+ days in advance. I strongly suggest getting the Roma Pass through the official website romapass.it (38€ for 42h and 62,90€ for 72h).

The most memorable part was actually Forum and Palatine Hill in which you get epic views of the Colosseum from the outside. I personally did not think it was worth it to go in to the Colosseum where we were shuffled like cattle through narrow halls with 1000s of other people while helicopters roared around overhead . It was very difficult to appreciate the epicness of the place at the same time, I mean, sure it was nice to see but the outside was almost more impressive, I would save my money to be honest.

An amazing experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! Everything went smoothly, the tickets were easy to use, and we had no problems entering. Seeing the Colosseum in person was truly impressive, and walking through the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill made the experience even more special. So much history in one place! We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Rome.

The Colosseum was beautiful, its the start of October so it was very crowded, however this did not take away from the experience. The staff at the Colosseum was wonderful and helpful, the process for getting tickets was quick and easy, but make sure you get there a bit earlier. You should add this to your bucket list if it isn't on there already!

An address was given as the meeting point, but it was the address of a hotel... We simply had to go to the entrance gate of the Colosseum. It's hard to navigate with the audio guide. Rewinding is complicated.

Initially, I was doubtful about buying the ticket through Headout since it is not an official cultural heritage site, but I had to change my mind because we managed to enter at the scheduled time without any problems. The most memorable part for me was standing inside the Colosseum and finally seeing how huge it really is. I had seen so many photos before, but being there in person made me realize just how massive and impressive the whole place is. It felt completely different from anything I had expected.

The tour guides were the best, they make the trip all the more enjoyable and their storytelling keep us engaged through out the trip. Given it was 2-3 hours, they made it fly by soon. The skip the line tickets are the best, no hassles at the security check and literally a walk in the park.

Additional information

If your access includes Mamertine Prison, your visit must begin there and you must arrive at least 1 hour before your Colosseum time slot to collect your entry ticket.

Timed access applies to the Colosseum only; Forum and Palatine Hill can be visited anytime within 24 hours but each entrance may be used only once.

Note that there are 2 entrances: one for the Colosseum, and another for the Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (combined). You may enter each entrance ONLY ONCE and not re-enter.

The security check can take 30 mins or more. To make the process quicker, please insert any object (including mobile phone) in the bag/backpack or in the tray to be included in the X-ray.

Each site has different opening hours, so check in advance. Plan around 2–3 hours for the Colosseum, 1–1.5 hours each for Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, and 30–45 minutes for Mamertine Prison.
