The Colosseum is truly spellbinding and magnificent. Our tour guide was lovely, her knowledge is really good, she has a great sense of humour and pointed out some really interesting hidden bits of information. Seeing the underground sections was so interesting.

We really enjoyed the tour guide and the underground experience of the Colosseum was great! However we were really confused with the information on the tickets - it said to arrive 15 mins early but we weren't allowed in and then where we entered into the colosseum didn't match the instructions we had on our tickets. This could be better explained - as many were also confused around us.

Good explanation and friendly guide. It was not easy to get to the appointment. We had understood that it was at the entrance, not inside. Maybe it would be good to have a better description.

Important Information

In case of bad weather the Colosseum Underground is not accessible.
The entrances to the monument, located along Via dei Fori Imperiali, are equipped with ramps.
The "first order" ground floor of the amphitheater is accessible to disabled people in wheelchairs.
The "second order" first floor is accessible via elevators.
Two wheelchairs are available, one for the ground floor and one for the first floor.
There are suitable toilets
Entrance to the Palatine and Roman Forum is granted within 24 hours from the time printed on your ticket.
The time selected is for the guided visit to the Colosseum underground. Please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of your activity starting time.
