Important Information
Security Lines at Colosseum
Once you pick up your tickets from the meeting point, you will be assisted to the entrance of the Colosseum. When you get there, please join the security line for ''Tickets and Print@Home holders''. To your right will be visitors lining up to buy tickets, and to your left visitors with a timed entry reservation. Once you have gone through the metal detector, head directly to the turnstiles where you can scan your printed or mobile ticket.
If you start your visit with the Palatine Hill, you will receive a timed entry ticket for the Colosseum. You should then join the ''Timed Reservation Holders'' line at the Colosseum at least 20 minutes before your given entry time.
Timings
Time slots for entry are available from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the afternoon at 30-minute intervals. These tickets are timed and hence you must enter at the time slot that you choose in the next step of the booking.
At the Colosseum, please use the priority entrance line on the left for the mandatory security check.
Please note that entry to the Colosseum is free on the first Sunday of every month.

Your visit begins at The Roman Empire Travel Agency, located at Via Capo d'Africa, 15A, a 4 minute from the Colosseum. The staff will assist you and accompany you to the entrance of the monument.

Trams 3/8 (Piazza del Colosseo) lead directly to the Colosseo/Salvi N. stop, which is a 2-minute walk to the Roman Empire Travel Agency.

Restrictions
For safety and security reasons, no large backpacks or pieces of luggage are allowed inside the Colosseum. No storage facility is available.
You must carry a valid photo ID with you and present it at the time of entry if requested.
