The Vienna Pass is a great way to visit the various sights using the hop-on, hop-off buses. With such a wide variety of options, there’s something for everyone. We weren’t aware that a separate fee of 12.00 euros is required to tour certain areas of Schönbrunn Palace.

The Vienna card was deleted at the wrong time the moment I wanted to pull it from the app . I had to chat with someone to reinstate it and I had to go to a Vienna city pass office so they can pull it and print it along with the city cards for me and my wife. He had a hard time finding it and he said he was not familiar with your business and you don't have an office in Vienna. I ended up losing over half of the day from my 4 days in Vienna and that s not good

There was conflicting information about the 6-day pass in various places: for example, the pass was shown as “completed” even though I hadn’t activated it yet—it was just that the booking date was in the past. This was then corrected during an in-person conversation with staff—but it still caused a lot of stress. Online, the information office’s opening hours were listed as 7:00 p.m.—but when I got there, it had already closed at 6:00 p.m. So on the first day of my pass, I had to spend three hours just getting advice. For many attractions, I needed additional apps that were very complicated to use—while the on-site advice was very helpful, this wasn’t how I had actually intended to make the most of the time booked with the pass. I would have liked to have had more information beforehand so I could plan better. As a result, it was too late in the day for the activity I’d originally planned, and I wasn’t able to make full use of my pass. That was a real shame. On the positive side, the advisor on site gave me some additional tips on which attractions were particularly worth visiting. That was very helpful. All the attractions I visited through the Vienna Pass were really great. On the recommendation of friends, I’d booked two additional attractions and wondered why they weren’t included in the pass (Time Travel and Sisi’s Journey). However, those were simply not very good, so in hindsight, I felt that the Vienna Pass had already provided me with a very good selection of attractions. For my first experience with Headout, it was very good. If I were to take a similar trip, I’d choose the Pass again and now know better how to use it and what to look out for.

The pass was convenient and well worth it for us. The boat tour was a letdown because the route wasn’t worth seeing, the announcements were drowned out by the noise of the passengers, and the commentary was limited to just four points of interest on the way back. The audio guide provided very little information about the sights and could have been much more detailed for us. We really enjoyed Vienna, as we got to experience it!

The bus drivers on the tour don't always understand German. Besides, they don't check tickets on the bus anyway.
