Standing in the Colosseum, you feel the weight of centuries pressing down. Its arches whisper the roar of crowds, the clash of steel, lives once lost for spectacle. Beauty and brutality coexist in the stone, a silent testament to human ambition, power, and fragility. Time has softened its violence, yet the echo of history lingers, leaving awe, reverence, and a strange, reflective sorrow that stays long after you leave.

Visiting the Colosseum was truly a highlight of my trip. The grandeur of the ancient architecture, the depth of its history, and the unique atmosphere of this place leave a lasting impression. Here, you can feel the spirit of a great era, and every detail captivates with its beauty, power, and the timeless grandeur of Rome.

Everything was fine; the information was excellent and always up to date. I was very happy with the service, though I didn't like the prison at all, and the visit was so short that we didn't understand anything.

Amazing place, you just have to imagine what the gladiators felt being in the centre of the arena, most being left there to bleed to death. Incredible historical arena

Breathtaking tours! Even though the sites are ruins, you can still feel the full grandeur of the Roman Empire. Note that the Mamertine Prison doesn’t open until 8:30 a.m., so all visitors with a 9:00 a.m. tour slot—who are asked by the site via email to arrive at least one hour early—end up wasting a lot of time and are greeted by a prison employee who is very rude!

The tours of the Colosseum and the Forum were AWESOME! On the other hand, we were very disappointed with how the tour of the Mamertine Prison was organized. The meeting time was set for 8:00 a.m., but the prison ticket window where we were supposed to pick up our tickets didn’t open until 8:30 a.m. Since it took time to hand out the tickets (we weren’t the only ones there) and then get to the Colosseum in 15 minutes, it caused unnecessary stress.

My visit to the Vatican and the Colosseum was okay overall, but not quite as impressive as I had imagined. Both sites are, of course, historically and culturally very significant, and it is certainly special to see them in person. However, the wait times were quite long at times, which made the experience a bit exhausting. The organization also seemed a bit confusing at times, so it was sometimes difficult to find my way around. Still, there were positive moments—the architecture and the history behind it are truly fascinating. Overall, I’d say it was a solid experience: not perfect, but not bad either.
