We visited the Edinburgh Dungeon for my son’s 9th birthday, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Edinburgh – he absolutely loved it! The actors were brilliant throughout and really threw themselves into their roles. There was a great balance of humour and scares: funny enough that we were laughing a lot, but with just the right amount of creepiness and jumpy moments for a nine-year-old who enjoys being scared! We also really liked the way the experience moves you from room to room, with each one telling a different part of Edinburgh’s darker history. It felt much more immersive than simply walking around an attraction, and the interaction with the actors made it especially memorable. A really fun, theatrical experience and a fantastic birthday treat. My son was still talking about it afterwards, which probably says it all!RRobert S
