I would like to say t Széchenyi Spa is really a must visit spot in budapest the best place to relax your mind your body and soul, from the cabin safetiness, to sauna's, steam sauna's and the bath salt. The staff are accomodating and very polite, the water is clean, WC's are also clean. Overall is one of the best to relax. Will recommend to my friends and relatives and i can say i will go back again amd again and again.

Very fast arrival to the baths with yellow M1 metro line ( the oldest of Europe, it is a must to see) . Personnel of the baths very kind. Cabins and logistics very well planned by the organization .You can buy flip flops if you forgot them. The complex has indoor and outdoor pools with all the different combinaton of temperatures and spa features you could require. The building transports you to the end of XiX century. Don't miss this experience

The facility offers various types of packages, each with a specific entrance that may not be immediately obvious, but the staff are happy to provide directions. The outdoor area is the largest and most spacious, featuring three pools, and there are lounge chairs along the edges that are available to guests if you’re lucky enough to find them free. Inside, we found three areas with pools and saunas that were closed for maintenance. There is some moisture on the ceilings of a few rooms, but this is acceptable given the nature of the facility. Staff regularly come by with mops to remove any water residue on the floor. Since the space is very large, we had no trouble finding a spot in the various pools and saunas, which are ultimately quite similar to one another. The cruise, which departs at 8:30 PM to take advantage of both sunlight and the effect of the illuminated buildings after sunset, allows you to take photos with different atmospheres. The boat was spacious and well-organized; the open-air area on the upper deck is perhaps a bit small and doesn’t offer space for a large number of people. The audio guide is accessible via a phone app; it may not start automatically at the various points of interest even with GPS enabled, but the information provided is still comprehensive.

Experiencia muy satisfactoria, tanto por el disfrute en sí de la actividad como por la facilidad para llevarla a cabo. Se trata de un punto de fácil acceso tanto por metro como por carretera o incluso andando. Una vez llegas, todo está perfectamente indicado para entrar al recinto. Ningún impedimento un vez allí. Todas las cuestiones aparecen señalado de forma clara. Cabe destacar que gracias a hacer la compra online se evitan colas, ya que hay varias filas: fila con entrada recién comprada (algo más tedioso) y fila con entrada online (es ir en línea recta hasta la zona donde escaneas el código y entras, dando así con los vestuarios).

Great day out at Szechenyi Spa. Beautiful outdoor pools' which were very therapeutic. Adventure pool was great fun with a whirlpool and several jet spouts giving super massage. The indoor pools' looked less inviting, a bit tired and didn't look clean so we didn't use them. Didn't try the saunas as not for us. Getting a sun lounger was difficult as the pool area was packed as such beautiful weather the day we went. We did eventually manage to get a couple, so then able to relax properly. Good value for fun & relaxing day out. Having a changing cabin made a difference for ease of changing too.

The cruise was very nice. Very good explanation of all the sight seeing. Everything worked really well. The Szechenyi Spa is interesting. The outside pools very good with hot water, but sometimes too crowded with people. Regarding the indoor pools, I missed that characteristic 'SPA' aroma of disinfection. The area was constantly crowded, which made me feel uneasy about entering some of the pools. Perhaps a more controlled and relaxing atmosphere, accompanied by that distinct clean scent, would have made for a better experience

What to bring

It is mandatory to wear slippers throughout the spa area. Swimming caps are required in swimming pools but not in thermal baths.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

This experience is restricted to guests under the age of 14 years.

On Saturdays, the venue opens at 8:00 AM, so plan your arrival accordingly.

Due to scheduled maintenance, the swimming pool will be closed from April 20 to May 17, 2026.

Renovation work will take place at the entrance stairs from Állatkerti Street between May 4 and July 12, 2026.

The swimming pool side locker room area will be under renovation and converted into a coed locker room between July 29 and August 6, 2026.

The staircase sunbathing area will undergo renovation from August 31 to October 11, 2026.

The women’s thermal section will be closed for renovation from December 7, 2026, through November 2027.

The pools and surrounding areas must be vacated 20 minutes before closing.

Last entry is permitted up to one hour before closing time.

If you select the fast-track entry ticket, make sure to enter the spa before 11am or after 3pm for guaranteed immediate entry.

Your ticket allows one-time entry only and cannot be reused for re-entry.
