Last week

We received a warm, quick, and smooth welcome at the castle entrance. As we were about to go down the stairs to enter and begin the tour, a man in his thirties noticed our age and directed my sister and me toward the elevator. A kind gesture that was very much appreciated. At the top, on the terrace, we noticed a small crowd that was clearly waiting for a VIP to arrive. We later learned that it was our President Macron. Photo to prove it.

For once, it actually worked well. Unfortunately, the other two bookings I made through Headout left a lot to be desired. I won’t consider booking through this platform again in the future. Just one example: I booked a time slot, but I still had to wait in line, which meant I had less time to spend at the attractions. I paid a lot of money but ended up with very little time. What a shame!

Castel Sant'Angelo is an absolute must-see in Rome—it’s the perfect place to discover its history and how it has evolved over the centuries. From Hadrian’s Mausoleum to the Papal Chambers and up to the Terrace of the Angel, where you can see all of Rome… it’s priceless. Booking tickets in advance saved us from waiting in line at the entrance and made the visit much more enjoyable.

Last week
the meeting point was off. Maps showed me to circle the castle and walk a lot just to end up against a wall or a kind of clif, when the meeting point was the actual entrance of the castle. Actually, there was not real meeting point since the audio guide and the tickets were already available in the app. All I needed to do was to enter the castle through the entrance
