From the moment you step off the shuttle from the Visitor Centre, the palace's façade—gleaming with white granite and limestone—sets the tone for something extraordinary. At first it was very overwhelming, the sheer size and scale of the building (once inside). After a while you get used to it. Magnificent architecture, literally a masterpiece. What I found the most interesting was the collection of historical literary artefacts. Our little two year old had such fun running around and making buddies with the security staff.

loved it. although i would loved it more if the company would provide also the drive but its okey. exhibitions were amazing. i was dressed inappropriately and they gave me skirt and scarf to cover myself at the palace thankfully. lovely experience

An architectural marvel
Nestled in Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan is a presidential palace that was recently opened to the public. One of the finest examples of Arabic architecture and craftsmanship, the palace's design signifies its heritage and its future vision. The palace has its own library with books on a wide range of subjects including archaeology, history, heritage, memoirs, biographies, human and social sciences, statistics, administration, culture, literature, arts, etc. It also has its own gift shops; one at the Visitors Center and the other at the palace building. One of the major attractions of the palace is its light and sound show, which depicts the history and growth of the UAE as a nation. This show has been divided into three acts: past, present, and future. Also get a chance to hold a falcon, take some pictures with them, and learn more about their nature and behavior at a falcon experience in front of the palace's main door.

Please note that the falcon experience will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10am, 11:15am, 2pm, 3:15pm, and 4:30pm. However, during the first week, sessions will take place only on Wednesday and Friday before transitioning to the regular schedule.
