Really loved the experience! Unfortunately we couldn't make it to our pre-booked time slot hence we were worried. But we were very lucky to have another tour guide called Alex M, waiting at the entrance around the time that we reached who allowed us to join the next slot. He was extremely kind and helpful, he understood out situation and let us join his next tour. He also explained the historical aspects of the place very well and was very knowledgeable. We had to leave early due to our bus and he told us the important points to be seen before leaving so that we didn't miss out on them. He made the sightseeing experience very pleasant for us!

The tour was great and we enjoyed our guide, Olga. The tour started and finished on time. The audio equipment was top notch and everyone was very professional. We certainly recommend Headout tours.

Mark, our guide, was very good. The place is very quirky. However, it wasn't an audio gide. We only had Mark who was very informative anyway. Fortunately we could hear him.

It was nice to see the park. The tour guide had something interesting to say at the beginning, but not long after that the statements became repetitive. Would have liked a better guide with more information about the park.

Your experience

After you meet your guide at the designated meeting point, you will receive help to access the park. Once you enter, your guide will show you the highlights of the park. The first architectural element of the park that you will see is the two buildings on either side of the gates. The one on the left served as a concierge, with a waiting room and a telephone booth, and the one on the right was the residence of the doorman, hence its name Casa del Guarda, which today is part of the MUHBA (Museum of Barcelona History).

The next highlight of the park will be the staircase that leads one from the entrance to the main area. After the staircase, you will head to the Hypostyle Room, a structure meant to resemble a forest and a space that is supported by 86 Doric columns. The Hypostyle Room supports the Greek Theatre on its roof. From the Greek Theatre, you will be able to soak in panoramic views of Barcelona, and the Sagrada Familia in the distance. Other prominent features of the park that you will be able to visit are the Laundry Room Portico, the Austria Gardens, and the Viaducts.

What to bring

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and clothing as this experience involves a lot of walking.
During the summer months, it is recommended to bring hats/caps to protect from the sun, and water for hydration due to high temperatures.

Accessibility

For visitors with mobility problems, Park Güell offers two free wheelchairs for hire (subject to availability).
The tourist coach car park has three places for people with reduced mobility.

Additional information

Your ticket allows you to skip the 'ticket' line and not the 'security' lines.
All the recognizable and famous portions of Park Güell are located in the Monumental Zone, which includes lots of uphill climbs and stairs.
Access to the Park is regulated to renovate and preserve this portion of the Park.
