5/5 — Best morning we’ve had in the Azores We did the São Miguel whale watching boat tour today and it was everything we’d hoped for and more. Our daughter was completely captivated from the moment we left the marina. We saw well over 100 Atlantic spotted dolphins — they stayed with the boat, leaping and riding the bow wave — and then two sperm whales. Watching those huge animals surface, breathe, and dive was unforgettable. Quiet, respectful, and close enough to feel the scale without ever feeling like we were crowding them. The guide and skipper were excellent. Clear, calm, and genuinely passionate. They explained what we were looking at, how they find the animals, and how to watch without disturbing them. The whole trip felt professional and well run, not rushed. If you’re in São Miguel with kids (or without), do this. One of the best wildlife experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you

It was incredible being that close to the wildlife in their natural environment. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip exciting and memorable. Great guide. He explained everything well. We didn't see whales which was disappointing but he told us that might be the case. We saw 2 species of dolphins and an unusual species of whale which really wasn't a whale. People rarely see them so that was exciting.

We saw so many Atlantic spotted dolphins, it was amazing to be among them ! We also saw 6 sperm whales, we were lucky ! Also, the captain Miguel and the guide were very kind and helped us a lot to spot them !

We saw 2 whales, super close. Lots of very friendly dolphins right next to the boat, they did flips and everything! The sea was excellent. The team did everything they could to make sure we saw the animals! 5 stars! I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, no whales were close enough to be seen this time, but we did get to see 3 kinds of dolphins! On the way back, one of the pods showed up to say goodbye again which was very fun.
