There was nothing, I asked to use the lift as I can't walk much and definitely steps, the lady was rude and told me to wait in the line. I got up to the bottom of the acropolis with great difficulty, you need study railings, I understand it's old, but you do have proper railings in other areas, it was too dangerous for me to go further and taxis available up the top would have helped too

Backpacks and large bags must be left in the cloakroom.

Wear comfortable shoes as there is plenty of walking involved.

It is recommended to carry sunscreen and a water bottle, especially during the summer.

Facilities: Cloakroom, Guide-dogs Allowed, Wi-Fi.

Photography is allowed. However, the use of flash and additional professional equipment such as portable lights and tripods, is not allowed inside the Museum.

On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve (December 24 and 31), the Museum is open from 9am to 3pm.

On Orthodox Good Friday, the Museum is open from 12pm to 6pm. On Orthodox Holy Saturday, from 9am to 3pm.

Extended Opening Hours

On the evenings of the August full moon and the European Night of Museums, the Museum is open until midnight.
