  • Devoted to exploring the rich artistic heritage of Asia, the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) connects you to the pan-Asian arts and culture scene. Located by the Singapore River, it takes you on a journey through the historical connections between Asian cultures as well as between Asia and the world. Explore its 3 themes that emphasize on specific stages of Asian civilization development, from Trade, Faith and Belief, to Materials and Design.

Trade, for instance, takes you through the bustling Indian Ocean trade, the Tang shipwreck, and globalisation long before the term was coined. Faith and Belief covers everything from the ancient religions of India (Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism) to Christian and Islamic art, as well as scholarly texts and rituals. At the third level, Materials and Design, explore a world of fashion and textiles, jewellery, and ceramics.
