An incredible place if you love history. We went at 8:00 a.m. to avoid the full heat of the sun; there are several areas to explore, and the Temple of Hephaestus is impressive. We also went inside the museum, and even though it isn't huge, it has some wonderful exhibits! And you'll also see cats and the occasional turtle!

The Roman and Ancient Agouras are amazing and well worth visting. We learned so much. It's a little hard to find the small numbered signs that coordinate with the audio tour but the tour is ivery nformative if slow paced.

Agora is more than archaeological place, it's a place where you can feel the pulse of history under your feet. Definitely we enjoy our visit in this place. And the fact that we bought the tickets from the Headout app , saved for us a lot of time because we skip the line, and that was great for us.

It’s definitely a beautiful place to visit, no doubt about it. But it was a huge disappointment: the audio guide only works if you scan a QR code! So what are you supposed to do if you don’t have a phone…? This was probably mentioned in the fine print of the terms and conditions that we didn’t notice! It’s really a shame.

No complaints about the tickets, downloads, etc... However, the audio guide wasn’t available in French even though I selected that option when I bought the ticket, so the visit was a bit of a letdown... Same issue at the two agoras, the Acropolis Museum, and the Acropolis itself. Misleading advertising...?

Additional information

Due to ongoing construction works, the main entrance of the Ancient Agora is temporarily closed. Please use the temporary entrance on Apostolou Pavlou Street, near Akamantos Street.

Starting April 1, 2025, admission is free for EU citizens aged 25 and under, and for non-EU citizens aged 18 and under, with a valid ID shown at the ticket booth.

Entry is permitted only during the selected time slot, with a grace period of 15 minutes before and after.
