The museum was fantastic but what really made the experience was our guide, Josephina from Argentina! Her passion shone through and really made the tour outstanding. Her knowledge was amazing, she spoke with such enthusiasm and all the little anecdotes about Vincent's tragic life made the whole experience truly memorable. Thank you Josephina!

Jennifer was an awesome leader. She conveyed her enthusiasm and empathy for Van Gogh and enriched my experience in the museum. It was crowded with people but the speaker system allowed us to hear her very well and gave us some freedom of movement. Jennifer brought along additional materials which she shared with us using her I-pad.

Ticketing experience was fine and we really enjoyed the Van Gogh museum. The canal tour was nice in that we got to see lots of Amsterdam but the 'guided' bit was lacking. There was someone on the boat who occassionally gave us a bit of information but he was speaking at the same time as the woman on the audio we were plugged into. The audio tour was poor - lots of silence and really surely a lot more we could have been hearing about Amsterdam - seemed like a missed opportunity. And it was all recorded so easy to improve significantly on this i would say! i'd also have really liked if the boat could have stopped at times to allow us to take photos.

In a city where everything is pedestrian-friendly (but especially bicycle-friendly!) getting caught up in the art of the museums, the houses that leave space for people and grow upward (often with very peculiar inclinations!), the greenery present everywhere (but gorgeous in Vondelpark) was a wonderful experience.
