GroupVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5Could you ever leave Amsterdam without visiting the magnificent museums that define this city full of life, freedom, and culture? Our travel itinerary already included tickets to the Van Gogh Museum, but not to the Rijksmuseum—which we were able to book on our own very easily through HeadoutCCarolyn H
CoupleVerified bookingYesterday5/5I loved the history that was presented with the paintings. It gave me a deeper appreciation for what the artists were depicting- from family life to outdoor life all those years ago in that part of the world. Plus, I was exposed to artists I hadn't heard of before. Really wonderful artists. But honestly, one of the most special moments for me was the Rembrandt painting which depicted a husband and wife, who was wearing a red dress. It was a tender and beautiful painting. I especially wanted to see it because I believe that this painting was the one that Van Gogh stood in front of for a very long time as noted by observers who saw him there. I stood in front of it too, though probably not for as long as he did. Anyway, it was a lovely experience.MMichaela Z
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5A huge museum, with an equally huge selection of paintings ranging from van Gogh to Rembrandt! The same goes for the exhibition of ship models and porcelain! The only minor drawback: the descriptions of the paintings in the online guide were a bit sparse and lacking! The descriptions—and the number of them—could definitely be more detailed and more numerous!GGabriele B
GroupVerified booking2 days ago5/5A brewery tour with a twist. A mix of activities, a bit of history, a bit of the art of brewing, and a bit of a show to experience and help shape yourself. The beer was delicious, and the tour’s finale in the cellar was the perfect finishing touch. Although we were the oldest at 70, we felt right at home among the younger crowd.DDenitsa K
CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5We had no expectations for both, but they were wow and 100% worth it. The Heineken experience blew our minds. 😁🤯 The Ice bar is really extremely cold 🥶, but you can survive 10-15 minutes. The drinks were very tasty.
Pair the quiet sophistication of the Dutch Golden Age with the high-energy atmosphere of a world-famous brewery for a complete introduction to Amsterdam’s cultural and industrial heritage.
Getting started
You can begin your day at either location, but many travellers prefer starting at the Rijksmuseum in the morning before the 8-minute walk to the Heineken Experience for an afternoon tasting. Present your mobile ticket at the entrance for validation; at the Rijksmuseum, you will pass through a brief security check before entering the Great Hall, while at Heineken, you’ll be fitted with your audio device at the start of the circuit.
