Everything worked out perfectly with the pass; we used all forms of public transportation (metro, tram, bus, ferry). Simple and hassle-free.
The only slightly annoying part was having to scan the QR code from our cell phones when boarding the tram or bus. We had a 4-day pass, but we still had to check in and out repeatedly. Sometimes the QR code reader on public transit didn’t work properly, so there were a few times when we couldn’t check out when getting off.

The GVB day pass works very well. What’s inconvenient is having to check in and out on every mode of transportation. Since I bought two cards under one contract, having to check in and out twice slows me down even more. If the tram is full, forget about it. Why do both cards have the same ID? Otherwise, you could use two devices to check in and out.
