SoloVerified bookingJul 20245/5Weather aside (cool and rainy) this was a great day out from Edinburgh. Carys, our guide, was wonderful. She shared a lot of interesting historical information but also left us in peace to enjoy the Scottish tunes she played and the scenery (or a snooze). Tour was very well organized. Alnwick Castle is super impressive as was the town itself. Lindisfane is a charming wee village but be prepared for quite a walk if you want to go to the castle. We didn't have enough time so enjoyed the priory and a coffee in one of the cafes. I highly recommend this tour and Timberbush.VVilcu A

Begin the adventure as you leave Edinburgh and embark on a journey southward to the border of Scotland and England aboard a minibus. Along the way, be mesmerized by the breathtaking views of East Lothian, featuring a blend of hills and dramatic coastlines. As you arrive in the stunning coastal town of Bamburgh, take a moment to stroll along the picturesque beach and marvel at the spectacular 5th-century Bamburgh Castle perched on a natural throne of volcanic dolerite. Or look forward to the serene setting of Holy Island's Lindisfarne, exploring the ruins of the Priory, where the iconic Lindisfarne Gospels were crafted.
