  • What happens when a legendary rock album meets the raw physicality of dance? Quadrophenia, a Mod Ballet reimagines The Who’s iconic 1973 rock opera with an electrifying blend of movement and music. Set against a rich, orchestral adaptation by Rachel Fuller—first performed at the Royal Albert Hall—this production takes audiences on a visceral journey through the restless energy of 1960s youth culture. Choreographed by Paul Roberts and directed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, the show features a thrilling young cast, cutting-edge video design by YeastCulture, and original costumes by British fashion house Paul Smith. Catch this high-octane ballet at London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

    The story

Mods, music, and mayhem—Jimmy’s world is one of rebellion, self-discovery, and a desperate search for belonging. Set in the streets of 1960s London and Brighton, Quadrophenia follows the troubled mod as he grapples with identity, love, and the chaotic highs and lows of youth. Fueled by the pulsating rhythms of The Who’s legendary album, the story unfolds in a whirlwind of dance and drama, reflecting the era’s hunger for change. But as the lines blur between dreams and disillusionment, will Jimmy find his place, or will he lose himself in the chaos?
