From the very first notes, Mamma Mia! created an atmosphere that was pure joy. It felt less like watching a show and more like being part of a shared celebration. The cast delivered not only strong vocals, but real warmth and humor, making the characters feel alive and relatable. One unforgettable moment was when the entire theatre seemed to come alive during the big ensemble numbers — hands clapping, laughter bubbling up, and that unmistakable feeling of collective happiness. I was even crying! It was one of those performances where you walk out lighter than you walked in, still humming the songs and carrying the joy with you long after the curtain call.

Mamma Mia! in London was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere in the theatre was electric, the cast was incredibly talented, and the energy never dropped for a second. The live music, powerful vocals, and joyful choreography made the whole experience unforgettable. I especially loved how the audience was completely involved, singing along and smiling throughout the show. It was pure happiness, fun, and emotion all in one evening. Highly recommended to everyone visiting London! I visited Mama Mia in Slovenia for 4 times, it was great, but here even better, wauuuu, top🥰

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Novello Theatre. The show was beautiful, emotional, and incredibly well performed — truly unforgettable. Our seats were F10 and F11, and the view was great; we could see the stage clearly and fully enjoy the performance. On top of that, we were deeply impressed by the kindness of the staff. The day after the show, they were extremely helpful and caring in assisting us with recovering a phone we had accidentally lost inside the theatre. A fantastic theatre, a stunning show, and genuinely lovely people. Highly recommended.

MAMMA MIA! originally opened at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1999, before transferring to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004. The musical re-opened at the Novello Theatre in 2012, where it celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024.

The story

MAMMA MIA! is a light-hearted yet emotional story of a girl, Sophie, and her quest to find her father. As her mother, Donna, an independent hotelier in the Greek Islands, prepares for her wedding, Sophie comes up with a plan. With her wedding day approaching fast and no father to walk her down the aisle, Sophie invites three men from her mother’s past to find out which one of them is her real father.

The atmosphere was amazing and I think the fans all went home very very satisfied, me too! The beginning gave a very warming introduction and captured my excitement. The songs were sang like the originals and the dancers were so good that I danced as if I was in the disco. My son is also in the musical business, acting in different shows around the German world and I can imagine what he would say to the show. The dancers were brilliant!

Je suis allée voir Mamma mia avec mon copain qui n'est pas un fan du film, il a adoré !! Je suis passée par toutes émotions, j'ai ri et pleuré, les acteurs sont absolument géniaux. Cette soirée était merveilleuse, c'est un 10/10 !!!
