When I came to England for language education, I stayed with a host family, and we watched Mamma Mia with them during movie night. I knew the ABBA songs, but I'd never seen the movie. I had so much fun watching it. Their daughter must have watched it for the 100th time. I'm back in Turkey, and I still listen to these songs; they remind me of England. This musical was my dream. It was like a dream. And one day, I'll be opening with "Dancing Queen" at my wedding. I hope this dream comes true, too. Everything was so special and beautiful in the musical. It's truly special and emotional that my first musical experience was Mamma Mia.

I absolutely loved Mamma Mia! – from start to finish, it was an absolute delight! The energy, the music, and the performances were all incredible. The set and costumes were vibrant and perfectly captured the sunny, fun spirit of the story. I left the theater with a huge smile, humming the songs all the way back to the hotel. Truly a magical and feel-good experience – I can’t recommend it enough!

The story

MAMMA MIA! is a light-hearted yet emotional story of a girl, Sophie, and her quest to find her father. As her mother, Donna, an independent hotelier in the Greek Islands, prepares for her wedding, Sophie comes up with a plan. With her wedding day approaching fast and no father to walk her down the aisle, Sophie invites three men from her mother’s past to find out which one of them is her real father.

The Music It is impossible to walk into Mamma Mia! without humming a tune, but hearing ABBA’s timeless discography performed live takes the energy to a whole new level. The arrangements are faithful yet fresh, making songs like "Dancing Queen" and "Voulez-Vous" feel electric. The cast delivers the vocals with incredible power, turning the theater into a massive sing-along session. The Story While the plot is admittedly light and fluffy, it serves its purpose perfectly. The tale of Sophie trying to identify her father on the eve of her wedding is a sweet, simple narrative frame that seamlessly weaves the songs together. It doesn't take itself too seriously, allowing the emotional beats to land without dragging down the pace. The Vibe The vibe is pure, unadulterated joy. This isn't a show you go to for deep, intellectual introspection; you go for the escapism. It is campy, colorful, and unapologetically fun. The production embraces the cheese factor, resulting in a show that feels like a celebration of life and love. The Atmosphere From the moment the curtain rises, the set design and lighting transport you straight to a sun-drenched Greek island. By the finale, the atmosphere shifts from a theater production to a full-blown concert party. The collective happiness in the room is contagious, leaving the audience dancing in the aisles.
