Zeynep our guide was fantastic!!! She has enthusiasm and passion that comes through in her showing off her country's culture. We highly recommend this guide and the whirling dervish ceremony is a spiritual journey that makes me want to delve more into the history and to read Rumi. The food at the historic restaurant was awesome! Loved it all!!

This was my first time in Turkey, and I wanted an authentic experience, a real taste of the culture, not just a checklist of sights. Zeynep delivered exactly that. Her passion for the food and her culture came through in everything she did, and from the very start she made us feel like friends, not tourists on a tour. The food was delicious and abundant, I came with a big appetite and still couldn’t finish it all! She went above and beyond throughout, and I can’t recommend this experience enough, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Zeynep as your guide. 😊

I booked this experience mainly to witness the dervish ritual; since I was traveling alone, I had some reservations about the dinner that would follow. Zey, our guide, turned out to be not only knowledgeable, thoughtful, and attentive, but also able to bring the group together right away. She was smiling the whole time. A great experience and a wonderful dinner.

The whole evening was fun and educational, from sampling of local street treats, to the cultural/spiritual experience of witnessing the Dervish ceremony, to a final dinner of authentic Turkish food at a family owned restaurant. Highly recommended.
