Besides being a crucial trading hub in Northern Europe, Copenhagen is also filled with brilliant tourist attractions. The city is home to some of the continent’s most well-preserved historical monuments. On this walking tour, you will get an opportunity to visit and learn about several of these architectural marvels. The Church of Our Lady, also known as the Cathedral of Copenhagen, is one of the historic buildings you will see. Although the architecture of the Church resembles a neo-classical style, it was remodeled in almost all popular European architectural styles over the centuries.
Much of Copenhagen Old Town is characterized by large public squares lined by multi-colored buildings. Rådhusplatsen, Nytorv, and Gråbrødretorv are a few of these squares that you will see. The quaint alleyways criss-cross through the entire city, giving you a taste of the local culture of Copenhagen. Buildings such as The Round Tower and the Christiansborg Palace are replete with fascinating anecdotes and historical facts. This walking tour also covers the main shopping streets and a visit to the famed Bolsje Factory.
