Super beautiful and detailed palace. A true step above any other palace I've seen in Europe. You could spend the whole day there. We got a guide through Paris Tickets and it gave so much context to what we were seeing which made the experience so special. Our tour guide Flor was so so so funny and was good at blending the factual details of the rooms with what she called the celebrity gossip, which included interesting stories about the real people who lived in the palace

We booked the tour, got confirmation right away. There was a contact information, that we very much needed as we were running late and did not know the exact meeting point. our guide (Paul) was great. He could tell the story in interesting way, took very good care of our group. Very much recommand the tour!

Contacted us to check that we were on the way, good earphones to listen to Andre's running commentary - which was excellent - and guided through the Palace crowds.. Worked well for us...but needed another day or two to do the rest of Versailles!

Good advance information about the meeting point and the itinerary. The meeting point was easy to find. Versailles was really crowded with visitors that day. Our guide quickly led us past the lines. Despite the crowds in some of the palace rooms, she always managed to find a way through. Her in-depth knowledge of history and art, spiced with a touch of humor, made the tour a pleasure despite the crowds in the palace rooms

Visiting the Palace of Versailles with a guide from the Headout app was fantastic because we didn’t have to wait in line to get in. The guide provides you with your admission tickets, and once inside, he explains everything about each section of the Palace in great detail and in an engaging way. My wife and I thought it was an excellent experience thanks to all the information we received—highly recommended.

The site is magnificent, but the guide focused on a tour that was too simplistic for our taste. We would have preferred more specialized historical or artistic references, in line with what one expects from a guided tour.
  • Step into the world of French royalty with a guided tour of Versailles, including fast-track entry and full estate access.

    Getting started

Meet your guide beneath the statue of Louis XIV at Place d'Armes, 78000 Versailles. After a quick ticket check and security screening, your expert guide will introduce the palace’s history before leading your group inside.

    What to expect

    Palace of Versailles

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Palace of Versailles stands as a symbol of French monarchy and 17th-century grandeur. Once home to kings from Francis I to Louis XVI, the estate spans over 800 hectares and features some of Europe’s most celebrated architecture and gardens.

    Features

    • Royal Apartments: Walk through the lavish chambers where French monarchs lived, each room reflecting the tastes and ambitions of its royal residents.

    • Hall of Mirrors: This iconic gallery, lined with 357 mirrors, hosted historic events including the signing of the Treaty of Versailles.

    • Gardens by André le Nôtre: Explore meticulously designed gardens, fountains, and sculptures, with access on Musical Fountains’ days for a lively display.

    • Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon & Queen’s Hamlet: After your guided tour, enjoy free time to visit these unique retreats, each offering a glimpse into royal leisure and private life.

    • Guide insights: Listen to lively stories and context via provided headsets, ensuring you catch every detail throughout the tour.

  • What to bring

    • Bring a valid photo ID matching the name on your booking for entry verification.

    • Carry your booking confirmation (printed or digital) for smooth check-in.

    • Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the palace and gardens cover extensive grounds.

    • Consider bringing a bottle of water, especially during warmer months.

    What’s not allowed

    • Baby strollers are not permitted inside the palace.

    • Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed inside the palace for security reasons.

    • Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.
