Versailles speaks for itself! Everything was perfect... Maybe I’d build some covered walkways to provide shelter from the sun. Fifty minutes under the August sun was a terrible experience. But the visit was wonderful. And I’d like to compliment the workers who are doing the construction. I asked for directions to the train station, and they wrote down the directions for me on a piece of paper—and one of them even walked me to the bus station! Kudos for their kindness.

Must book ahead of time and show up early (would recommend at least a half hour early and be prepared to wait in line until your entry time. The Dex audio guide was not good at all!!!! The "guide" talked too much about herself and had us skip rooms and entire sections of the palace. One hour guide only handled one of 3 potential wings and when you exit to the gardens you cannot return to see the other wings/exhibits.

I highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance—it saved us a lot of time! Even though the museum is huge and can seem a bit overwhelming, the layout is well-organized and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Set aside at least half a day to explore it, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy all the magic the place has to offer. An absolute must-see in Paris.

A truly wonderful experience! Booking through Headout was quick and easy, and the skip-the-line ticket saved us precious time at the entrance. The palace is absolutely magnificent, the Hall of Mirrors is breathtaking, and the gardens alone are worth the trip. Getting into the palace was very easy—no issues scanning the ticket. We had tickets at 9:30..between 9-10:00 is the best time... you will not stay a lot at the entrance, also if you are late 10-15min you can still go in. No rush, not so many people. The palace is amazing, but go where everyone is going so you will not miss anything, ans you will not need to turn back to check again.

I was able to get the tickets I wanted without any problems. Plus, I was able to pay with my Visa card from outside France, and there were no issues at all. The best part is that I paid the official ticket price, and it was much more convenient and easy. Access to the different sections went smoothly. I definitely recommend Headout for a trip to Versailles!

Timed-entry tickets skip the ticket counter; mandatory security checks may take 15–30 minutes or longer.

If your ticket includes an audio guide, download and activate it in advance; the last rental is at 4pm.

From Oct 9 to early Nov, audioguides are available only in French, English, and Spanish.

Entry is free for children under 18 and EU citizens under 25; free tickets must still be collected on-site or via the official website.

Entry prices are based on nationality or country of residence, with separate rates for EEA visitors (EU countries, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein) and Non-EEA visitors.
