Booking in advance for the Royal Palace was definitely a good idea, because we were immediately able to secure a 11:30 a.m. entry slot. Our tickets were checked at the entrance, and we got in without any trouble. Since it was during the Easter holidays, it was better to have our tickets already printed out, so we wouldn’t risk being turned away. The Royal Palace is beautiful, monumental, and opulent. After touring the various rooms open to the public, we headed to the magnificent gardens. A wonderful visit. Headout is a highly recommended way to book admission tickets, especially during peak periods.

It was an indispensable help and a memorable day, and I’m glad I bought the tickets on your platform—even though I thought the 3:00 PM entry time would be too late and I wouldn’t have enough time to see the palace the way I wanted to... In the morning, I visited the beautiful gardens of Versailles, which I adore and love with all my heart...Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to visit Marie Antoinette’s apartment because there was a huge line that would have jeopardized my visit to the palace... Last week

I was not able to get my family in to the louvre without Headout's support. We did a day trip to Paris and my girl - who is just learning about Mona Lisa - shared it was her number one thing to see. Everything was perfectly organized thanks to the tickets we bought in advance on Headout! We toured the palace and then the gardens... followed by a short ride on the "little train" to the Grand Trianon and then the Petit Trianon! If we were to do it again, we'd come to the palace first to take advantage of the two additional tours included with our ticket!

The time listed on the passport ticket and the entry time for the castle tour are poorly managed; the lines are very long, and this needs to be addressed—visitors aren’t allowed in at the scheduled time. The tour went smoothly, and everything was wonderful.

Timed-entry tickets skip the ticket counter; mandatory security checks may take 15–30 minutes or longer.

If your ticket includes an audio guide, download and activate it in advance; the last rental is at 4pm.

From Oct 9 to early Nov, audioguides are available only in French, English, and Spanish.

Entry is free for children under 18 and EU citizens under 25; free tickets must still be collected on-site or via the official website.

Entry prices are based on nationality or country of residence, with separate rates for EEA visitors (EU countries, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein) and Non-EEA visitors.

Gardens close at 6pm from November to March, and at 8:30pm from April to October.
