Venice is very special because it consists mainly of waterways. An excellent system of connections that allows you to reach all the interesting points of the lagoon. The bus stops that adapt to the water level are great.

It was a little confusing leaving the airport, and the employees were not the most helpful. That said, we enjoyed all of our rides and found the schedules fairly simple to understand. I'm glad we had purchased in advance as we skipped the long lines to buy tickets.

It's very practical to be able to get on the next bus, streetcar or boat without having to look for tickets, especially if, like us, you also want to visit the islands of Murano and Burano. We paid the entrance fee for Venice twice, but that's not a bad thing.

Overall it was a good trip. The tickets aren't the easiest. We had to pay after we boarded because we weren't prepared. Either way, it was a good option from the airport to the island. I'd recommend using them as it beats the hassle of a taxi.

The Vaporette is a efficient and simple way to get around in Venice and the Lagoon area. Dog friendly which is important to us. Highly recommended to take minimum a one day ticket so you can experience Venice in a hasslefree manor and at a reasonable price.

This ticket does not have an expiry date and can be used on any date after purchase.
The ticket is valid only for one single-way journey. You can travel either to the airport or from the airport with this one-way ticket.
Please note that the Red Line is not active during winter.

Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus Pass & Mainland Bus Tickets

Tickets must be validated before boarding ACTV public transport.
The validity of ACTV Tickets and Travelcards starts from the exact moment they are first validated.
Included in the price of the ticket is the transport of 1 luggage piece, the three dimensions of which must not exceed the sum of 150cm.
Please expect delays during peak hours and high seasons.

Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus Pass & Mainland Bus Tickets

You will receive an ACTV Public Transport Services Voucher via email. Exchange this at the Venezia Unica ticket office at Piazzale Roma and redeem a paper ticket with your voucher.
You can also use the Venezia Unica self-service ticket machine present at the ticket office.
