I went to Osaka Castle on 2nd September, 2024. The park around the castle was beautiful. There were plenty of tourists exploring and locals exercising, having a walk and jogging around. The Castle itself has been converted to a history museum on the inside, with plenty of exhibits that explain about the life of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. There are 8 floors in the Castle, the top 8th floor is a viewing deck where you can get a full view of the city. Floors 5-7 were a regular museum exhibit about Toyotomi Hideyoshi's life where photography was allowed, and Floors 3-4 were an exhibition of priceless artifacts owned by various collectors which depict the events of the Winter and Summer Wars of Osaka, where photography was not allowed. The exhibits include authentic letters written by various great historical figures, suits of armor, a sword forged by one of the greatest swordsmen of the time, and a huge Japanese folding screen meticulously painted with a scene of the war. Buying the ticket from Headout allowed us to enter without queuing at the ticket office. There was a long queue of about 40 minutes which lasted the entire afternoon until closing time at 5pm, so if you want to skip the queue, buying from here is good.

I did it at the gate and it was honestly great to skip the queue and go straight there while peope were waiting for 20 mins :) Highly recommend it to all those who value their own time!

Arrived at Osaka castle to find massive queue with at least a 40 minute wait in the heat. Found this option to purchase a ticket online and went straight in!! Very efficient!!! 👍🏼😊

It was easy to schedule even while other people were waiting in the line. The visit was educational and the building and grounds were spectacular.

The attractions are incredible, the waiting time is too long, the prices are right, the atmosphere is great. The big drawback for Super Nintendo World is that you have to book as soon as possible, almost before entering the park. As nothing is indicated when you book at 11 a.m., entry was possible at around 8 p.m.

All the attractions have specific height and weight restrictions. Furthermore, some rides are unsuitable for people with medical conditions. Please visit the website for more details.
Your ticket is valid only for the date and time mentioned on the ticket. Also, you can only enter the park once using your ticket.

Osaka Castle

Visitors between the ages of 12 to 15 must furnish a valid ID containing their birth date for entry.
Complimentary entry will be extended to individuals holding disability certificates along with the option for one accompanying person to also enter for free.
Should you wish to store your belongings, a fee of JPY 100 per item applies at the entrance ticket counter. This service is available from 9am to 4:30pm, with the last pickup at 5pm.
