The guided tour is definitely worth it. Our guide, Roger, explained not only Michelangelo’s *David* in great detail—including its “secrets,” interesting facts, and history—but also some of the gallery’s most important paintings. When we booked the guided tour, we scheduled it for 1:00 p.m., but they called us to see if we could change it to 4:00 p.m. No problem—we’re on vacation and flexible—and when we arrived at 4:00 p.m., they offered us water and soft drinks and gave us some beautiful, numbered prints of paintings by legendary artists. Everything was perfect: the service, the friendliness, and our guide Roger—a 10 out of 10!

Mary was our English speaking guide for the day and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the paintings, sculptures and to our delight, the musical instruments. We were excited to see an original Stradavarius violin and learn about its origins and commission. We booked this tour very last minute (about 30 mins prior to the start time). Communication with the provider was excellent and the ability to skip the loooooong line in a middle of a heatwave was such a blessing. I 100% recommend this tour. Thank you Mary for sharing your knowledge and making the tour something to remember.

That the tour was in Spanish (not all guided tours are offered in Spanish) and that the guide himself was Spanish (I know this from experience). The guide was so engaging that we fully understood what he wanted to convey about the David. The explanations were excellent, both for the David and the other works, which could all be covered in an hour. If I had to nitpick, it would be the excessive noise, even though we were wearing headphones.

We had seen the outdoor replica of the David across town, so we wondered if we even needed this tour, and we are so glad we decided to do it! The tour guide was informative, knowledgeable, and also very warm and welcoming. In a full and busy tourist sight, we received helpful guidance and insights we could not have found on our own.
