Your Experience

The Grand Foyer Experience

Be greeted by the friendly staff in the grand foyer adorned with small tables and a marble fountain in the Hurrem Sultan Luxury Hamam. Enjoy a fragrant cup of tea and the soothing sound of the fountain. An attendant will explain the next steps. Get shoe covers, rubber slippers, and a Turkish towel (pestemal) before entering the changing room. Change into your pestemal and leave everything else in your locker.

Sauna, Scrubbing and Foaming

Once ready, the attendant will lead you to a room just outside the sauna; sit next to a water-filled marble sink. The pre-soak alternates between hot and cold water, and next, enter the sauna. Head to the main room and lie on the massive marble table called a 'gobektasi'. After about 15 mins, the hammam attendant will lead you to the marble sinks surrounding the gobektasi to begin scrubbing. Special exfoliating gloves will remove dead skin and dirt. Afterward, enjoy a ritual of complete soapy immersion as you are washed by hand from head to toe, leaving you feeling like a new person.

Spa areas are different for women and men. The male sections with have only male attendants and female sections will be serviced by female attendants only.
The hammam provides soap, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, disposable non-slip slippers, and underwear during all hammam sessions.

Restrictions

The experience is not accessible for wheelchair users, pregnant women, guests on their period, or people with back, heart, or other medical conditions.
