Once the group is ready, you set off together into the historic city center to follow the contemporary light installations.

What to expect

Luci d’Artista in Turin’s historic city center

This guided walking tour focuses on the Luci d’Artista contemporary art event, which transforms Turin’s historic city center after dark. Across about 1.5 hours, the route leads through streets, hidden alleys, and courtyards where light artworks interact with the surrounding architecture.

Features

• Luci d’Artista is the central focus of the walk, so you spend the tour moving between contemporary light installations created by Italian and international artists and seeing how each work changes the atmosphere of Turin’s urban spaces.
• The route takes you through the historic city center, including quieter courtyards and lesser-known alleys, highlighting architectural details that become part of the artworks rather than just a backdrop.
• Throughout the guided walking tour, which lasts approximately 1.5 hours, your bilingual Italian and French-speaking guide explains the stories and meanings behind the light installations so you understand both the artistic concepts and their links with the city.

Baratti & Milano Café

Midway through or toward the end of the walk, you reach the historic Baratti & Milano Café, a long-standing reference point for Turin’s café culture. Here, the pace shifts from walking and viewing installations to sitting down and tasting the local specialty, Bicerin.

Features

• You enjoy a seated Bicerin tasting at Baratti & Milano Café, with time to pause after the walk and experience this traditional Turin drink in its original setting.
• As part of your inclusion, you choose your preferred style of Bicerin: Classic, Subalpino, or Cold Bicerin, which lets you tailor this tasting to your taste and the season.
• The tasting at the historic Baratti & Milano Café is integrated into the tour so you experience Luci d’Artista outdoors and then sample a Turin specialty indoors before the experience concludes outside the café.
