Vltava River Cruise
Undoubtedly the most delightful way to experience the fascinating city of Prague, a romantic cruise on the waters of the Vltava is a must-do for anyone exploring the city’s historic attractions. There are few things that are as beautiful as a surreal cruise on the Vltava river with a special someone or friends and family beside you.
Watch the exquisite architectural marvel of the Prague Castle as you float along the calm waters of the Vltava.
Float under the oldest stone bridge in Prague, the Charles Bridge showcases the splendor of Gothic and Baroque architectural styles.
Why you shouldn’t miss this
The longest river in Prague, Vltava is around 430 km long. It spans more than half of the Bohemian region and around a third of of the Czech Republic. This magnificent river flows past 18 bridges including the Charles Bridge that will be sighted on the cruise.
The Charles Bridge is one of the most popular sites to visit in all of Czech Republic. Rich in architectural heritage, it makes for a stunning sight.
The cruise lets you take in the splendour of the Prague Castle. The St. Vitus Cathedral, which is home to the world-renowned Bohemian Crown Jewels, is also one of the primary attractions within the castle walls. Hidden in a secret chamber that is inaccessible to the public, the jewels are seldom displayed in the open. It weighs around 2.5 kilograms and is made up of a hundred-and-twenty jewels.
This cruise is as informative as it is splendid. It presents interesting facts about both the historical and contemporary uses of the structures and buildings inside the castle complex.
This tour is one of a kind. It won’t tire you out because it lasts for little above an hour while still managing to present the quintessential beauty of Prague. Unlike several other tours, this one is highly comprehensive, giving you a feel for what the city of Prague is all about. Be a part of the jolly atmosphere with the on-board restaurant and bar that serves top-notch food and drink. The boat crosses Manes bridge, the Czech bridge, Stefanik bridge and of course, the highly anticipated Charles bridge.
The Prague Castle is an enchanting confluence of intricate architecture across a millennium. Ranging from Roman styles in the 10th century to 14th century Gothic modifications, these walls encapsulate savoury architectural flavours from several hundreds of years. Anyone who loves history and architecture is sure to fall in love with this monument as you pass it by on the cruise. The cruise itself is tailored to suit everyone’s needs. You can listen to exciting descriptions of several monuments and historic sites in eight different languages, and never feel like you missed anything as you soak in the beautiful culture, architecture, and history of the city.

We booked the 2 hour cruise with pasteries from Headout, and I must say the experience was nothing short of magical. The best time to experience this would be around sunset. Highly recommended!
Found out these ticket variants on Headout and I booked the 1 hour cruise. The onboard commentary is definitely spot-on and engaging. Definitely booking the two-hour cruise next time.
