Beautiful palace. Impressive in size and decoration. You feel transported to another era, yet it exudes modernism (lighting, acoustics, layout). A pleasant visit (a little expensive) though a little short. We would have liked to visit the dressing rooms on the 1st level. We were able to listen to the organ for 5 minutes, which was great!Felipe

I have been to Barcelona multiple times but never visited this amazing place. If you are visiting Barcelona, then this place is a must on your list! The history and incredible attention to detail are enough to inspire just about anyone. We booked the English tour and were greeted by an incredibly friendly and passionate guide. I'm sure you have heard about Gaudí, but have you heard about his teacher, Mr. Montaner? He was Gaudí's teacher and the designer of this amazing building. Who he designed for one Mr. Miller, who inspired by his Catalan culture, took it upon himself to gather the drunk men of this back then industrial city and do something more with their lives than to drink it all away. Thus creating the choir "Orfeó Català" and spreading the Catalan culture. This palace is their architectural manifestation of what they stand for and believe in. As a side note, our ticket mentioned the ticket *MUST* be printed, but the guide at the door scanned it straight from our phones. Your mileage may vary.Albert

Nice small group, excellent guide, beautiful venue! Well worth visiting.
If you’re looking for a bit of history, culture, and beauty during your stay in Barcelona, a guided tour to the Palau de la Música is just the thing for you! Visit the only concert hall to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located on a narrow unassuming street in the Ribera district of the city, the building represents the unique and distinct modernist style of architecture. Step into the hall and you will be stunned by the aesthetic blend of sculpture, mosaic, stained glass and wrought iron on the facades of this unique modern building.
The concert hall is home to the Orfeó Català choir and is funded entirely by public donations, making it just as much a part of the cultural, architectural and musical fabric of the city's history. Visit their rehearsal room. The central part of the structure is, of course, the concert hall itself, a vast, lavishly decorated space that is flooded with light, courtesy of a central skylight, Enjoy the opportunity of walking on to the stage itself and looking out at the hall, viewing the audience the way the performers do. Lastly, you will get to visit the Sala Lluís Millet, named after the founder of the Orfeó Català choir to end your tour. The giant stained glass windows of the room divulge the unique columns decorating the balcony of the building.
