Park Güell is a truly fantastic place and one of the most original attractions I've ever visited. The architecture is unique, the atmosphere is special, and the views over Barcelona are absolutely stunning. It's definitely worth visiting. The only downside during my visit was that some areas were under maintenance, with a few paths closed. I was also surprised by the lack of places to sit down, buy a drink, or have a coffee. I only found one vending machine near the exit, which made it difficult to take a break, especially on a hot day. Despite that, the beauty and uniqueness of Park Güell made it a memorable experience.

Isaac was an outstanding tour guide. He provided a wealth of interesting information about the various areas and sculptures, and he recounted the park’s history in great detail in a way that was easy for everyone to understand. He led the tour with a charming ease and finesse that completely captivated us from the very beginning. Since I’ve been on many tours in my life, I can say that Isaac was an exceptionally good and very likable guide who truly did an outstanding job. We would recommend Isaac to anyone and would book another tour with him in a heartbeat!

Lovely locations to visit. Disappointed that at Casa Battlo the staff didn't understand the ticketing. The ticket said the app was useful and gave the app download as a link, I said I didn't want the app and didn't feel the ticket was saying the app was essential. Basically Headout is trying to force us/you/one to get the app but it's not essential. Just need to click on the right links in the email to get the tickets. Parc Guell didn't need the app, but the tickets were sent by email. Both places are well worth a visit and are even within walking distance (20-30mins walk between them).

Booking through Headout was effortless — the QR code on my phone was scanned at the gate and we walked straight into the Monumental Zone with no queue at all. The mosaic terrace and the view over Barcelona are worth every minute. Tip for others: pick an early time slot, it gets crowded and hot later in the day.

It was quick and easy for us to enter through the south entrance—not the main entrance. We really enjoyed the tour and the shaded areas, which, despite the heat, allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of the attractions, which are nicely clustered together in an area that isn't too huge.

We loved the place—it’s too bad that when we bought the tickets, they didn’t tell us that several areas of the park were off-limits. I would have liked to see those areas, but I couldn’t access them even though I agreed to pay for them right then and there. What a shame! But the place is incredible.

Arrive at the recommended entrance on Avinguda del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya, where escalator access is available. Present your ticket at the main gate for validation and proceed through a brief security check before entering the park.

Park Güell stands as one of Antoni Gaudí’s most celebrated works, designed in the early 20th century and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This public park showcases Gaudí’s signature style, merging natural forms with vibrant mosaics and innovative structures.

What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes as this experience involves a fair amount of walking on uneven paths and multiple stairways.

During the summer months, it is recommended to bring hats/caps to protect from the sun, and water for hydration due to high temperatures.

Accessibility

For visitors with mobility problems, Park Güell offers two free wheelchairs for hire (subject to availability).

The tourist coach car park has three places for people with reduced mobility.

Additional information

During peak season, April to August, expect a considerable wait time at entry.

Note: Park Güell has three entrances—choose what suits you! Av. del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya has escalators (though it’s steep), Carretera del Carmel (nº 23) is ideal for coach drop-off, and Carrer d’Olot brings you right into the Monumental Zone.

If you'd like to skip a lot of climbing and stairs, a great option is to take public transport like Bus #24 or grab a taxi. This will get you to the entrance at Carretera del Carmel, which is just a short 100 meters from the bus stop. You'll find the area with the monuments only another 100 meters in, and mostly flat 200-meter stroll!

Children under 6 can enter for free, they just need free tickets. For a seamless entry, book their free tickets during checkout.

Guests are allowed to bring outside food and water into the venue. However, they must consume it in the designated picnic areas only.

The audio guide is available on the Headout app. Instructions to download will be shared with your ticket, and you can also access them offline. Do bring your own headphones.
