After visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park, I was truly amazed by its natural beauty. The turquoise lakes, cascading waterfalls, and lush greenery felt like something out of a dream. We followed Trail C, which included scenic walks and a peaceful boat ride across Lake Kozjak. The wooden boardwalks brought us close to the water, and although some areas were a bit slippery, the paths were well-maintained. Despite the park’s popularity, it never felt too crowded, and everything was clean and well-organized. The changing colors of the lakes were mesmerizing, and we even spotted some wildlife, including fish and birds. It was a peaceful and refreshing experience — definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Croatia. I’d love to return, especially in autumn for a different perspective.

Accommodation nearby is easy to find. The park is well organised with diffferent entrances to minamise crowd queues. We visited 30th August at 8am from Entrance 1. Parking was easy to find and plentiful. We collected a map at the ticket office, having booked our tickets online the previous day. The ticket includes the electric ferry ride and the scenic train/shuttle. There are several options you can take to walk from various points, all well signposted and easy to follow. Getting there early we avoided any queues and crowds and had a very peaceful walk around the park. The scenery is stunning, and as we had rain the night before the waterfalls were gushing. We even saw a colourful Fire Salamander lizard . A great experience.

The breathtaking beauty of the waterholes, the aquatic plants, the visibility of the fish in the clear water, the ducks and herons. We would have liked to see more signs mentioning the type of vegetation, animals and insects living in this exceptional environment. We wondered about the absence of bird sounds. We enjoyed strolling along the water's edge, but also in the forest, sitting down to recharge our batteries on the benches in the shade. benches along the way. We found the entrance fee and unavoidable parking very expensive, including access to the train and boats, which we avoided as much as possible, as we love hiking and had chosen the K loop.

We made a trip to the Plitvice Lakes and were overwhelmed by the impressions, the two-hour drive from Zadar was definitely worth it. Any time again

The park is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking scenery and well-organized trails. There was no waiting at the entrance, but the queues for the boat and shuttle bus were quite long. Still, the beauty of the lakes and waterfalls makes the visit more than worth it – truly a dreamlike place I highly recommend.

I traveled with husband and 9-year-old daughter. We found a very well-maintained and clean park, including bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi in the entrance area and free solar paneled cell phone charging stations. Lots of staff ready to show you routes and direct traffic (parking, ferries and little train). Route C is very varied, easy and makes for a really nice visit! The wooden walkways in some sections are a bit sparse and you have to be careful where you put your feet; in many places there are no guards, it certainly improves the aesthetics but you have to be careful where you walk. The people are very polite , you walk well, the entrances are limited to time slots, despite the sold out there were no particular queues or "traffic" on the walkways. Very good experience! There are several refreshment stations, we suggest bringing snacks and food to eat along the way or while waiting for the ferry/train.

The Plitvice lakes are fairytale-like. Must see. Buying tickets online was easy but need to download an app to view them, they don't come via email. Just do it and that's it. Despite the fact that it was August 20, we entered at the appointed time without a second of queuing. Admission was at 12 noon due to lack of availability in the morning having purchased them only a day before. No problem. Even taking the long tour 4/5 hours is more than enough for a top experience!
