Beautiful...! The guide not at all boring and companionable, tried to get adults and children to interact. He explained the most important and curious things about each room, we visited 80 of them.Since we took the tour in the afternoon, we didn't have time to visit both the garden and the rooms, he still let us face the garden and explained the most important things and gave a few minutes to take some shots..! Without the guide, I would not have discovered coi interesting things!!!

Needless to say, the Royal Palace of Caserta is one of our most important monuments to visit. Our guide was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The only drawback to this very interesting visit could be the rather high number of participants. We are obviously in a monumental palace, and our guide, Anna, explained the history of this majestic building and its inhabitants over time with her words and her friendly Campania charm. After finishing the tour inside, we said goodbye to the guide and took a short break at the café, then enjoyed the wonderful garden in the beautiful spring sunshine. A beautiful day.

What's not allowed

Leave pets (except guide dogs), strollers, large bags, backpacks over 40 x 30 x 10 cm, umbrellas, drones, sharp metallic objects, alcohol, and motorized vehicles behind—they aren’t allowed inside. You can check bulky items in the free cloakroom at the entrance.

Eating and smoking are prohibited inside the palace.

Flash photography is forbidden inside, and the dress code requires appropriate attire (no skimpy or indecent clothing).

The Royal Palace of Caserta is closed on Tuesdays, New Year’s Day (January 1), and Christmas Day (December 25).

If you're traveling from Naples, check train schedules in advance for a timely trip, as the train from Naples to Caserta takes about 40 minutes, followed by a 5-10 minute walk to the palace.
